Meet Hannah
I’m so happy you’re here. I’m Hannah, mama of two girls and lover of all things that deal with daily movement, lifting heavy things, eating nutrient dense food that’s beautiful, quick and delicious, and learning how to do all of this with a lot already on your plate. I’m a firm believer that if you prioritize what’s important to you, the rest will fall into place, you’re just going to need to put in the work.
It has been a dream of mine for going on 5 years now to create a space where people, but particularly women can come find a love for strength training. I have such a deep love for lifting heavy weights, eating good food, finding the joy in life and seeking out your passion that has transformed my outlook on life. I used to be so scared of the weight room, dumbbells, barbells and all the equipment. Now I find it so empowering and I want to teach my passion for this to others.
It wasn’t until I had my daughter, Ella, that I realized my love for strength training and conditioning. I went to my first class at a cross-fit hybrid gym in 2018 and I was hooked. It became such a prominent priority in my life that I knew I would never lose sight of. Growing up, I always loved being active, playing sports, running, hiking, biking and so much more. But after becoming a mother, I realized how important it was to be strong, physically and mentally.
Then Covid happened, and my happy place of a gym closed to the public. I did some small group training and tried the zoom workouts until ultimately I took my fitness into my own hands. I created a make-shift home gym and haven’t looked back since.
In the last five or so years, I’ve spent been countless hours trying out different workouts, creating endless recipes that are full of color and well balanced and that work with a busy schedule. It’s been 10 years since I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, and I have a newfound love for creating recipes that fit my needs. Eating healthy shouldn’t be a struggle, but more of a creative outlet. I can’t wait to formally share more recipes with you all.
Fast forward to 2025 and this is where I am today. Beyond excited to open Lake Street Strength, a fitness studio that specializes in strength training and even more specifically, towards women. This past winter I received my certification in Pre + Postnatal Fitness Specialist from AFPA (American Fitness Professionals and Associates).
I know how insanely important it is to heal from the inside out, especially after having a baby. I’m here to teach you a sustainable way on how to go about your journey, find your rhythm, and keep moving forward. Let's strive to grow stronger every day, TOGETHER!
